Study Abroad in Berlin, Summer 2015

CATEGORIES: September 2015

Each summer, Dr. Mark Looney takes students to Berlin for a 3-week program in which students learn about the history of Berlin and Germany through art, architecture, and memorials. Class is held out in the city and the class critically examines the layers of history (from Nazi Germany through Divided Germany) that fill the city. Students live with a roommate in an apartment and become Berliners – at least for a short while. Though the course is in English, students are able use their German at the supermarket and on the street. The one thing that is sure is that student miss Berlin when they return to the U.S. but many find a way to return for a longer period abroad. Will you be there next year?
