Apply for WLC scholarships!
College is expensive, and WLC will help you pay for it! WLC has a number of scholarships available to students for majors and minors in WLC programs as well as studying abroad. The applications for these scholarships began October 1, 2018 and must be completed by February 15, 2019. New for this year is OneApp, which allows you to apply for all scholarships using just one application.
WLC Scholarships include:
- Elizabeth Recantus Memorial Scholarship (German study abroad)
- Van Iten Study Abroad Scholarship (German study abroad)
- Louise Semmons Scholarship (any language)
- Alfred P. Kehlenbeck Scholarship (any WLC major study abroad)
- Ronald A. Schubert Scholarship (German or Spanish)
- The Staky Foundation Study Abroad Scholarship (study abroad)
- WLC Expanding Horizons (1st generation WLC student)
- The Tjaden Family Scholarship in Languages and Cultures for Professions (LCP study abroad)
- LCP Global Scholarship Program (LCP study abroad)
- LCP Global Professional Award (LCP majors)
- Shu-Min Huang East Asian Studies Research Award (anthropology research/travel to East Asia)
- Whiteford Award for Undergraduate Research (anthropology major/minor doing summer research)
WLC students are also eligible for scholarships from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which can also be applied for using OneApp. The deadline for LAS scholarships is February 4, 2019.
