Hannah Hichborn, a junior majoring in kinesiology and health and a minor in Spanish shares her recent study abroad adventure
While in Valencia, I took two Spanish courses at the Universidad de Valencia and lived with a host family. Being abroad was a once in a lifetime experience, but the best part was being able to live in the Spanish culture and practice my Spanish everyday.
After class everyday, I would study at a cafe, hang out at the beach, or explore Valencia. One of my favorite memories was celebrating El Dia de San Juan on Malvarrosa Beach. I’ve always known that I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but I also loved Spanish. After I leave Iowa State, I want to become a physical therapist and help people recover from brain injuries.
